Hiroshimafs political concern is whether US president Barak Obama will visit the city as rumored in May, but its fistic concern is how high local prospect, OPBF#6 light-fly Koji Itagaki may climb up a ladder. Miserably and mercilessly was Itagaki (16-10-2, 7 KOs) destroyed by WBC#3 ranked Filipino Rey Loreto (22-13, 14 KOs) at 2:03 of the fourth session in a scheduled ten on Sunday. Having demolished ex-world champ Nkosinathi Joyi twice within the distance in South Africa, Loretofs stock was raised so highly that it was obviously a mismatch as Loreto was just too strong and powerful for the home-towner. From the start Loreto caught up with Itagaki, scoring solid left-right combinations to hurt him very effectively. The fourth saw Itagaki battered from all angles so lopsidedly that the ref saved him from further punishment of the Filipino, who thus registered his fifth consecutive KO victory.
